Se croyant à l’ombre du Mistere
et loin des regards curieux
elles présentaient à ses yeux
mille beautés dignes des Cieux
ainsi la Reine de Cythere
jadis charmait les Dieux,
ainsi la Reine de Cyther
ja-dis charmait les Dieux

Le fidele Colin
rempli de ses allarmes,
et d’un régard chagrin,
ne les voyant qu’avec dédain,
leur dit les yeux mouillés de larmes,
Eglé, Lisette Iris, vous avés mille charmes,
mais j’aime mieux un régard de Cloris,
